Ambedkar Jayanti Wallpapers
Ambedkar Jayanti, also known as Bhim Jayanti, is celebrated on April 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice who converted to Buddhism in 1956 along with millions of followers. The day is a national holiday observed across all of India, with the largest gatherings at Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai (where he was cremated), Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur (where the mass conversion ceremony took place), and at his birthplace memorial in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. Millions of Navayana Buddhists and others pay tribute by visiting his statues and memorials, reading from the Constitution, and organizing rallies promoting equality and social justice. In Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, the celebrations are especially large. The day is marked by processions, cultural programs, book exhibitions, and community meals emphasizing the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity that Ambedkar championed.
