Bihu (Assamese New Year) Wallpapers

Rongali Bihu or Bohag Bihu marks the Assamese New Year and the arrival of spring, celebrated around April 14-15. It is the most joyous of the three Bihu festivals, featuring the famous Bihu dance performed by young men and women in traditional Assamese attire. The festival lasts seven days, beginning with Goru Bihu (day for cattle) and followed by Manuh Bihu (day for people). Traditional foods like pitha (rice cakes), laru (sweets), and jolpan are prepared. Bihu is deeply tied to the agrarian cycle of Assam.
