Pushkar Mela is one of the largest camel fairs in the world, held annually in the town of Pushkar, Rajasthan, during the month of Kartik (October-November). The five-day fair attracts over 200,000 people and features the trading of thousands of camels, horses, and cattle along with a vibrant cultural program. Beyond the livestock fair, Pushkar Mela has deep religious significance as it coincides with Kartik Purnima, when devotees take a sacred dip in Pushkar Lake, one of the most sacred lakes in Hinduism.
