Adorable golden cherubs (putti) rest among warm sunset clouds, their chubby forms and tiny wings catching the golden light in a scene straight from a Renaissance ceiling painting. Cherubs became a staple of Christian art during the Renaissance, most famously in Raphael's Sistine Madonna (1512) where two little angels lean on a ledge at the bottom of the painting, gazing upward with dreamy expressions.
