Guru Gobind Singh Ji (1666-1708) was the tenth and final living Guru of Sikhism -- a warrior, poet, and spiritual leader of extraordinary vision. On Baisakhi 1699, he created the Khalsa, transforming the Sikh community into a brotherhood of saint-soldiers with distinct identity (the Five Ks) and the courage to fight injustice. He was also a prolific poet, composing the Dasam Granth in multiple languages. Before his death, he declared the Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal Guru, ending the line of human Gurus. Our wallpapers capture Guru Gobind Singh in his many roles -- the regal warrior on horseback, the scholar at his desk, and the leader creating the Khalsa.
