His muscular saffron body radiates divine energy as the massive rocky mountain rests effortlessly on one hand while the golden mace gleams in the other. Sunset storm clouds part before him as he crosses the sky at superhuman speed. The backstory makes this image one of devotional Hinduism's most beloved narratives. When Lakshmana was struck down by Indrajit's Shakti weapon during the Lanka war and fell unconscious, only the Sanjeevani herb from Dronagiri mountain could revive him. Unable to identify the exact herb in the darkness, Hanuman simply lifted the entire mountain and carried it across the ocean.
