This resplendent HD wallpaper presents the complete classical iconography of a Jain Tirthankara in its ideal form -- every element in its proper place, the entire composition a visual encyclopedia of Jain spiritual teaching. The Tirthankara sits in padmasana (lotus meditation posture) on a Simhasana -- a throne supported by two lions, symbols of the royal lineage that every Tirthankara is born into before renouncing it. The body glows with golden divine light that radiates outward, illuminating the entire cosmic assembly that surrounds the figure in three tiers of concentric circles. Behind the figure stands the Ashoka tree -- the celestial tree that miraculously appears behind every Tirthankara at the moment of their Samavasarana (divine preaching assembly). Above, a divine chhatravali -- a triple parasol representing the three-fold greatness of the Tirthankara as supreme guru, supreme deity, and supreme path to liberation. Celestial beings hover in the surrounding space, some with hands joined in the anjali mudra of reverence, others scattering flowers. At the base of the throne, a conch shell rests -- in classical Jain iconography, the auspicious sound of the universe, one of the eight auspicious symbols (Ashtamangala) of Jainism.
